At SVO, the health and well-being of our patients is our top priority. Our practice is continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation in conjunction with guidance from the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.
For the protection of our patients, staff, and physicians, if you or a member of your household are ill, have fever or flu-like symptoms pertaining to COVID-19, or have been exposed to someone who is ill, please contact our office to reschedule your appointment. If you or anyone in your household has been outside of the country within the past 14 days, please contact our office to reschedule your appointment.
The AL Safer-at-Home Order issued by Governor Kay Ivey has been extended until August 31, 2020. This means ALL patients, staff, and physicians MUST wear a face mask or facial covering (bandana or scarf) in our office. We ask that you limit bringing anyone with you to this appointment, unless it is a visitor accompanying a minor or for a patient needing mobility assistance. Should a visitor need to attend a visit due to assistance required or presenting with a minor – we are only allowing ONE person per patient.
We understand the concern and uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus and we are committed to being as responsive as possible to the needs of our patients and staff. As of right now, we are operating as usual with our clinic schedules. Our medical staff and employees follow strict guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, which we have now increased due to higher risk with COVID-19. Common use areas and treatment rooms are continuously sanitized and wiped down. Hand washing and sanitizing is being handled very carefully and thoroughly between each patient. All communal items have been removed from the waiting room and patient rooms to help reduce risk of spreading disease at this time. Chairs have also been spaced out to encourage social distancing.
We also strongly encourage the use of our patient portal if you need to contact us for any reason aside from a phone call. Our paramount concern is the health and safety of our patients and staff. We will continue to monitor this quickly evolving and difficult situation and want to assure you SVO will be taking all necessary and precautionary measures to ensure the safety for our patients and staff. If you any questions or concerns, please feel free reach out through our secure patient portal or to call us at 205-933-7838.
